While researching for my construction project making a Syd Barrett replica Fender Esquire, I came upon some info about Paul McCartney. During the Sgt Pepper sessions Paul apparently bought and used a Fender Esquire, recording 'Good Morning, Good Morning' and 'Helter Skelter'. The guitar was a right handed Esquire played left handed as Jimi Hendrix did by re-stringing it.

Here's another picture of Sir Paul messing with it ac30. Also notice he had the strap button moved for a leftie. And check out the fashion plate scarf around his neck! Woah!!

No, I seen that, his was a '64, but I looked and it looks similar to his. I didn't see any differences.

I might have posted this elsewhere on this forum.
After reading that Eric Clapton had played lead guitar on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," I wondered what other recordings may have had guest guitarists. I was playing Sgt. Pepper and on "Good Morning Good Morning" I began to wonder if the lead guitar had been played by the guy the Yardbirds had recently kicked out, Jeff Beck. I reminded me of Beck's playing in the Yardbirds.
Turns out it was Paul, playing the same make and model of guitar Beck had played in the Yardbirds, the Fender Esquire.
