Sgt Pepper was better than anything the Stones ever put out back then

Ever wonder why the Beatles put a Shirley Temple doll with a Rolling Stones tee shirt on the front cover of their Sgt. Peppers album? Well wonder no more......

And the main reason is like Mr. Kite said, Keith said it to promote a new LP.
"The legendary Rolling Stones guitarist also talks about his new solo album, "Crosseyed Heart".
Say something extraordinary so people will listen to what other rubbish you have to say. Especially to plug something you are doing that sucks.

I'm a rolling stones fan I travelled all way to that not nice place called London to see them . I'm a fan ! But when it comes down to it they have (in my humble) one 10 album ( Sticky Fingers) the rest are just a little above average. Great singles band without doubt up to 83 ish . All the plaudits that say that Exile.. is up there with the best must really think they are " with the kids " . It's terrible and just read the back story of when they recorded it and even the Stones will not remember it ! To call The Beatles is laughable and should take a good listen to their albums from 83 onwards. They are rubbish and shit . In my humble

I agree Mr. K I was a terrfic fan of theirs in the beginning. I was there! Until Brian died, or was killed, I lost interest in them. To me he was the Rolling Stones, not that ass Jagger or Keith. Hated them ever since. *Of course these are our own opinions and I'm not trying to influnce anyone. If you like them that's fine with me.

Interesting Rocky that you think that Brian may have been killed .
That is one really intriguing "accident" that has been discussed over the years.
Makes for hypothetical debate . Love to hear yours and everybody's thoughts . I'm going to go and do some homework on this and have a ponder on it .

First of all I always thought the Stones were a singles band. As for the comments on Sgt Pepper. I find it just sad. The Beatles I think had a gift of having great singles and LP's that never felt the same as the last one. All these years on and people still chat about thier LP's. I think The Stones would have had a much stronger legacy if they had split after Taylor left. Since Charlie Watts passed you can hardly call them the Stones anyway.

Interesting Video .
I've always thought it was basically his drug taking that he drowned from and I never knew there was a Frank involved. I need more pondering 🤔

I never knew half of the things mentioned by the Word podcast. The Mick Jagger and Mick Taylor story is a new one on me. I had heard about the issues with Jones. None of it sounded that glamourous to me and just rather sad.

I heard the Frank Throgood story at the beginning and I always thought that was the most plausible as to what happened. That him and Brian were just horsing around in the pool, both drunk or high, and Frank had accidently drown Brian. Was he killed, no I don't think so outright. The girls were told what to say. But Mick & Keith to me were pricks after that. Syd was treated the same way in Pink Floyd. Still don't like Roger Waters to this day.
