Celebrate the 50th anniversary of HELP! at the Turk's Head, Twickenham - where Ringo famously appeared in A Hard Day's Night, eating a curly sandwich that was "fresh this morning" before nearly knocking a parrot from its perch with a stray dart! Lots of tribute bands playing the songs we love from 11:00am till late plus speical guests! I'm going, so come along, say "hi" and buy me a pint (heehee)! (I’m not one of the “special guests” by the way!) Full details in the below attachment or PM me for more info

Hi there. Though I had an account but apparently not!
This was a really fun day and great to hang out with Beatle people. Really enjoyed my acoustic George set and thanks very much to everyone who said great comments about the choice of songs etc (as it was a Beatle audience I went with a lot of album and BBC tracks rather than Something, While My Guitar etc). My Beatle compatriot (Dan, a fellow "George") took a small group on a walking tour of Beatles sites around Twickenham too (the Help! Postbox scene, the terraced houses etc) which was good, as despite living in London I've never been to Twickenham to see it all.
Impromptu jam at the end was fun too, even if a little messy, but we were all rather half-cut by then! Suffice to say I woke up with quite the hangover!
Pleasure to meet people! Can't wait for the next one!

Hey! Great to have you here! What a thoroughly enjoyable day! I couldn't agree more on your song choices - was incredible to hear The Inner Light and Piggies, as you never hear those played live! God knows what that final jam sounded like (sounded good in my drunken head!) but the last few hardcore people seemed to enjoy it - was a great laugh too. Was a really great day - and I still have my hangover to prove it Anyway, as I already said, it's great to have you here and I hope you'll stick around. All the best, "Emitex" AL

Normally when I play it has to be Beatles hits or when I did acoustic gigs in pubs it was general covers so it was great fun.
Looking forward to Marie's pictures, Brad took a bit of video too

I can imagine it made a very pleasant change - I noticed there were a few gasps when unexpected favourites cropped up during your set! Yeah, I can't wait to see Marie's pics - she showed me a few while we were there and they looked great! Not quite looking forward to seeing the videos as much as the pics though, but I'm hoping that first set sounds as good as I remember it! Regardless of how it sounds, for a group of people that had never played together before I was amazed how tight it sounded! And if anyone ever sees me staggering towards a drum kit, please feel free to stage an intervention! Haha!! AL
