One of the commenters said to give it to John's heirs, because it should be belong to them.
Actually, the J-160e that John wound up with was actually George's. John's was smashed when it fell off a car or something. I think they matched up serial numbers to sales slips or something. So it should go to Dhani!

This is funny, but you have to keep track, Dhani has John's already, it's George's Gibson that is up for auction. Dhani should give his to either Sean or Julian and the one at auction should be given to Dhani like you said. The guitar that was smashed when it fell off a car was George's '62 Gretsch 6122. www.thecanteen.com/harrison4.html

Oh, I knew the Gent was smashed, but I thought something had happened to John's J-160e also. Maybe just lost and then found again.

Oh, it was stolen then. I knew something had happened to it. So both J-160es are intact. Good.
I remember that some guy had told the Beatles had said their "banjo" had fallen off the vehicle and been run over and was referring to the 6122.
Coming back to me now. I stand corrected.
