Can anyone help us with this. I recall an article around 1979-80 about a journalist who took a boat from a nearby property to John Lennon's private dock at John's home on Long Island. The journalist showed up unannounced and requested an interview, which John granted. It was published with photos. But I can't remember the publication, Rolling Stone perhaps? I cannot find any mention of the event on google. Anyone else remember this? Thanks!

Hi Miguel and welcome to The Forum. I don't remember this happening, so I tried to do a search and all I found was John's sailboat adventure. I think if it was in a publication like Rolling Stone, Playboy or any of the other leading mags it would have popped up on a Goggle search. There was even a little local newspaper from Cold Spring Harbour that came up on a search. So all I can say now is good luck with your search my friend. You'll probably find it when you are searching for something completely different.
