There are lots of stories to be found here, unfortunately I haven't been to Liverpool... yet. I will someday.
I'm sure Nowhere Man, Arthur Lee and The End will steer you right.

it's my first time last month and it was amazing!!!, wandering down the Mathew street on my own.., as I saw this big banner saying Welcome to the birthplace of the Beatles, or seeing the golden plate saying "this backyard of the pub was being used by the beatles" or something... just made me feel, right in time and right in place...

Oo, where do you start the whole week is HUGE!
Somewhere on here is the booking form for Beatle Week just gone - Al - can you put a link to it? Ta.
There are a number of different packages available - and it can be confusing, keeping things simple:
• If money is no object... do the lot!
• If things are on a bit more of a budget then do two or three nights in say Grand Central Unite or Cambridge Court accomodation - very reasonable rates. Within these packages you will get shows to theatres; parties at The Adelphi Hotel (the main hub of the week); Access to The Cavern and other fringe benefits, depending on what you pay for up front. You can pay for extra events once you are here, providing they are not sold out, best to pre-book months in advance if you can.
• It's as our american friends say "TOTALLY AWESOME!"... right Michelle? And you will love it. Be prepared NOT to sleep, Golden Slumbers in not an option. You will be up partying until 4am and up for breakfast early the next day, probably with bands from all over the world looking as bleary-eyed as you are.
There is so much I could cover, but simply if you are a Beatles fan you will love it.
If you can, fit in time to visit Beatle attractions across the city, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields for instance. AND then there is a huge amount of other history; heritage and culture to explore around the city... ask Al, we tried to cover some of it last August.
I shall make a pledge now... "blueblackbird" and "Michelle Revolution" if you can make it over to Liverpool at some point, Beatle Week or any other time of year, I shall give you the VIP treatment and show yer around :-)

Thank you Nowhere Man, are you paying for my flight? Yeah, sure, so long as you can strap a couple of wings on and flap like mad!
