One of the earliest films of the Beatles taken in Feb.1962. Notice the Valentine hearts on the curtains. Also notice John's Ric325 has yet to be painted black.

When I see footage like that I often wonder about people who saw the Beatles before they were famous and whether they can actually remember anything about them or the gig??? I'm not talking about people who saw them all the time, more those who maybe saw them just the once. I've seen bands before they hit the big time and cannot remember a bloody thing about them, but how terrible would it be to have seen the greatest band in the world and for it not to have registered in your memory.

Here's one with the Star Club tape songs stuck on. I don't think there was a drummer for this performance. Maybe Pete was sick.

Any takers on what songs are being performed here? According to Mark Lewisohn ( Tune In extended version, page 1095) they are playing Dream and Dance In The Street. Pete is present but invisible.
