Liverpool Cityscape and the World Panorama Series Walker Art Gallery Until November 2nd 2008
-- BACKGROUND -- Artist Ben Johnson began work on the Liverpool Cityscape in 2004, visiting Liverpool to study the city's architecture. Each individual building was deconstructed and made into a series of intricate stencils. The buildings were 'reconstructed' on the canvas by Ben and his team of assistants, using several hundred hand-mixed colours applied with spray-guns.
The artwork looks at Liverpool from a near bird's eye view - from Chapel Street up Everton on the left and from The Albert Dock to the Anglican Cathedral on the right.
Combine this visit with a trip to St. George's Hall & World Museum - all within the Cultural Quarter
Don't just take my word for it that these are worth a visit - ask The End!
Fiendish Thingy: Thanks Bobber. I'm good thanks. Quiet on here for the last few months. I see Al has gone all 'Facebook' and is attracting new members. No bad thing. Are you going to the annual Beatleweek in Liverpool this year? Not long now 10 weeks or so. See you there?

Bobber: Not sure. It's an expensive trip for me plus I'm starting a new job around that time.

Amadeus: Hey all. Not been frequenting here very much lately. Between burying people, helping sick people and feeling crap myself, Me and Mrs. A. have been weighed under. Hoping to get a bit more out of that rut so I can focus back on the fun things I used to focus
