I have an autographed postcard which is signed by Paul as The Macs, it is certainly genuine as it was addressed to Howie Casey the sax player Paul used on such albums as 'Band on the run'. I am just interested to know if this was common and has anyone else got a similiar item. I suppose when you are that famous if you want a postcard to get where it is supposed to go you don't sign your real name.

Hi ac30 I don't remember seeing too many postcards from the famous, mainly because of what you said. I remember an old trick was for people to send checks of one dollar to a famous person they wanted an autograph from. And if the famous person cashed the check he would have to sign his/her name on the back, but now most banks use auto deposit and destroy the checks after cashing. If you want the check back they only send you a photostat of the check.
