And Honey Lantree the drummer of The Honeycombs has died. They were produced by the eccentric Joe Meek and Have i the right was written by prolific writers , Howard and Blakey . I was 6 years old when they got to Number one with Have I The Right, always loved the song. www.theguardian.com/music/2018/dec/28/honey-lantree-obituary

Yes it's been a bad start to 2019 with so many stars passing. Dean Ford of Marmalade died. I did like their version of ObLa Di Ob la Da so much so i nearly bought this as my first single but sadly my eye notice a "Glasgow Rangers " LP so mum bought me that instead, what an idiot. Of course i didn't even realise Ob La Di was a Beatles song. I liked their hit Radancer too.

Reflections of My Life (All My Sorrow)
This just makes me cry and very Beatles influenced.

I watched a great documentary on Buddy Holly last Friday. Really interesting career the riffs that influenced The Beatles and his highly orchestrated ballads. With the rise of the new 1960's country sound, laurel canyon and the British invasion he would have developed into a truly unique musician. Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper lost so young as well made this a terrible tragedy.
