That is so sad. In those images of the original line up he seems so young but you forget that is close to half a century ago.

Very sad news about the passing of Aretha Franklin Sir Paul said "Let’s all take a moment to give thanks for the beautiful life of Aretha Franklin, the Queen of our souls, who inspired us all for many many years. She will be missed but the memory of her greatness as a musician and a fine human being will live with us forever. Love Paul" RIP The Queen of Soul

BBC 6 Music are doing some specials to celebrate her life. Craig Charles is giving his entire Soul show on Saturday evening over to celebrate her achievements and Tom Robinson is dedicating his show on Sunday to Aretha and her influence on music.
I cannot believe such a powerhouse of the female voice is now silent.
RIP to the Queen of Soul
Miss Aretha Franklin.

This was always one of my favorite videos on guitar collecting. With Ed King talking about his collection. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. R I P Ed. Sadly I never got Ed to sign my Lynyrd Skynyrd strat since he had quit in 1996 and mine was signed by all the members in 2005.
