So I was all pysched that my friend just hooked me up with the best Beatles album, you know, Magical Mystery Tour, and I can't hear half the songs!! I don't think my earbuds r screwed up but unfortunately rite now i have no other pair to test it with. But i've tried tons of "online listens" and its all the same thing. Granted, i dont even know where the first set came from much less the various online mp3s, but still...... Anyone else experience this? Or do i need new headphones or is the answer "go out and spend the cash on the actual cd!" (Which would be nice)

That's an unusual issue. What do you mean, half the songs on the album or half the songs as in the right side or left side?
Buy the CD.
Welcome to the forum BTW.

Well, if he could only hear half the songs on the album, it would be because he was listening to the British EP, which did not have the 5 single sides from 1967 that were not from MMT.
Maybe he's hearing only one side of the stereo because the earbuds are not plugged in all the way. Or some compatibility issue.

You need new headphones. If yours are still broken and you buy the CD, it will still sound the same.
Like henryj mentioned, are you sure they were plugged in all the way? Can you not try someone else's? Can you not pop by a store and try on another set?

About them not being plugged in all the way: Are they iPhone (or other smartphone) earbuds? They have an extra circuit used for 2-way communications.
So shonnfrank, what conclusion did you ever reach?
