Also while we're waiting,,,, (don't know if these are some of your pics Mr M) The Beatles first tour. The one with Tommy Moore. The first pic is what the band looked like for the tour. The second pic is the only know pic of Johnny Gentle with a Beatle in sight. I wonder how bad and embarrassing it really was?

While we're waiting mrm. A little strange fact: Tommy died Sept. 29th, Rory Storm died Sept. 28th (9 years apart.) Rocky, that is indeed the strangest fact I have ever heard. I will not be able to sleep tonight with the immense strangeness of it!!! What is interesting is that it was always always stated Tommy was 36 when he played with The Beatles. He was actually 28. Also, George Harrison once described him as the best drummer The Beatles ever had.

Another little story: Johnny Gentle was driving the van to another gig in Scotland and crashed and Tommy lost all his front teeth and was taken to the hospital! Here Lennon, and I think Paul, went to the hospital and dragged poor Tommy out so he could play the drums at the gig that night. lol ...and does anybody here have this paperback?

That looks like a very interesting paperback! This book was first published in 1998 and has long been out of print - with copies selling for well over a hundred pounds a copy...

I'll have some information on Norman Chapman. Hold on.
And I meant the article placed here on Tommy Moore. I'd love to see it translated. Is it Portuguese?

Sadly that video only has music on it. It does have him chatting on it as I have seen it before, just can not find that version.

Probably this video. He's on at the end for about a minute then the video ends. I couldn't find the complete interview.
I like the one part of the video where Alan Williams' says "the Liverpool city council probably destroyed more of Liverpool than Hitler ever did." Which is probably true!!

Wow, that's a great video Rocky. That re-union was held at the Top Rank, and I was probably there. Notice how it looks like all those groups, including the Beatles, will be there. Typical AW! Funny enough, when Alan talks about the council doing more damage than Hitler, one of the thinks they did was demolish the old St Johns area, which had a market and several little pubs. They then built the new shopping centre which was crowned by the Top Rank Suite, which had all the charm of a nuclear bunker. As Neville Smith said "They tore the heart out of Liverpool and stuck it out on the East Lancs Road. Seeing those 70s fashions and hairstyles always makes me wince. Great seeing the inside of the Cavern, too. Really brought back memories.
