Julia`s playing up my end next year . Looks like I need to be there
Talkin of my end .
This young lady comes from just up the road from me . It`s kinda Joy Division meets Talking Heads in their Eno period with a funky beat . Proper Manc music .

That's a neat old Tele she's using. I'd like to know what year it's from? Has duct tape holding her strap on instead of buying a new one. booo MrK next time you see her ask.

MrK you know me I won't be able to sleep until I get my answer and Julie put up this video. Now see if you can see the serial number on the bridge. I think this might be a real early Tele with the black 5 hole pickguard and round stringtree(?). See if you can stop frame and read the serial number.(check at 00:48)- looks like 5 digits, could be a '56to'63 Tele. next.liberation.fr/musique/2010/03/31/la-session-live-lonelady-12_1747

Her playing reminds me of the early Velvet Underground with Lou Reed. If that's a '50's Tele she's lugging around there MrK that's a $20k guitar!

I don`t know how much you know about the Manchester Music scene Rocky as your from across the water but there was a time when we ruled the U.K. for bands and the Nightclubs as people came from all over the country to feel the Madchester vibes This band is where Lonelady seem to be reborn from . Joy Division . And if you really want to know about the band look out for the film Control .

Yes I heard of Joy Division, but you can go back even further and see where all these bands got their influence from. And the song I put up reminded me of the V U from 1966, probably a good 10 yrs. before Joy Division and a half a hundred years before Julie and her group. lol

I used to visit Manchester very frequently in 1966/7. It was a great place. This was before the Scouse/Manc rivallry kicked off. I used to go to Bredbury Hall, which was full of local celebs. I tried to have a go at dating that Telecaster, but can't add to what has already been discussed.

*I also loved that part in that video you put up MrK where you can plug into that wall and hear her song 24/7!! Pretty damn neat!!
