Hi, do you think the book The Beatles, by Bob Spitz, is worth reading? If not, which would you recommend as being the best biography of The Betales? Greetings form Brazil!

Hello Brazil !
I started reading books on The Beatles since the 1970`s and without doubt the best book I v`e read is, Tune In - The Beatles by Mark Lewishom.
Then you have The Anthology Book . But I have to confess only read half of it , and for the song writing side of the fab four . Revolution In The Head by Ian MacDonald . Very entertaining .

Spitz has no respect for Beatles fans whatsoever and publicly made his views known on them when certain inaccuracies where uncovered in his book. Best avoided.
I have been reading Beatles books for almost 25 years (not quite as long as Mr Kite!) and I would agree Tune In is the best but you will be waiting a very long time for the finished story off Lewisohn!
It's difficult to say which is the best complete biography as the good ones all have their good and bad points. The Hunter Davies biography is good but careful not to put The Beatles in a bad light with any of the more unsavoury stories. Shout by Philip Norman is ok but lacks any personal touch with the band i.e. No interviews - and they where all still alive when he had begun to write it.
The best Beatles books are the ones that focus on an aspect of The Beatles: Lewisohns Recording Sessions, The Longest Cocktail Party, You Never Give Me Your Money, Growing Up With The Beatles, Spencer Leigh's The Beatles in...(Hamburg, Liverpool and America), Revolution In The Head.
To say one definitive ( and complete) story is impossible and it probably doesn't exist (yet). My suggestion would be to read a few and form your own opinion on the story of The Beatles.

resident evil 5 seemed like it was only made as a stepping stone to the 'real' movie they intended to make with number 6.

Hello Brazil ! The Anthology Book . Gotta admit, coming from The Beatles mouth instead of others is as accurate as can be. Love the Anthology DVD's too, but takes forever to watch them all!

Except that they don't have accurate memories from time to time. But definitely the best position to tell stories about it.

There is a very good Pete Best autobiography - well it's jointly written by Pete, Rory and Roag Best - it's called The Birthplace of the Beatles, and it's based on the Casbah Coffee Club. Some superb photos and memorobilia, and it's nice to hear Pete's side of the story. The Casbah is open for tours, and is a must for any die-hard fan.
Can I just ask why is Sean Connery on the right of the line up above? Is he the fifthsh Beatle posing as 007? lol!!
