Hi,
New to the forum
I have a stereo copy of a collection of the Beatles Oldies which I cannot identify.
I believe it comes around the 4th or 5th pressing and these are the details
Side 1: YEX 619-1G Side 2: YEX 620-1G Black Label with two white-black EMI logos and silver print The Gramophone Company Ltd printed at the start perimeter Differences: No made in GT Britain anywhere on label No mention of Garrod and Lofthouse on the cover Cover has no flipbacks and has collection of the beatles oldies printed on the top and bottom of the LP Cover as well as on the spine.
Any help in identifying if this is a UK pressing would be appreciated.
Thank you. Wisemensay63

Hi Rocky Firstly, thank you very much for replying. I am unable to read the details on the label clearly but the LP doesn't appear to have a collection of the Beatles oldies on the top and bottom edges of the cover. I attach photos showing this and also of the label showing the lack of made in GT Britain. Hope this helps. Wisemensay63

Hi again and welcome to the Forum. Maybe just a different pressing of the same record with suttle differences. I don't think it would be much more in value than the lp I posted.

Hi
I am sure you are correct and that it is a variation of one of seventies pressings.
As a collector of the various pressings of the uk Beatles records, this was one I have not seen before and the site I use as a guide " the beatles-collection.com" which appears fairly comprehensive on the pressings also does not show an example of this label. I wrote to the mailbox for the site but sadly did not receive a reply.
As to value, I can honestly say I never considered it to be worth much at all. I paid £10 for it from amazon and as these things go I found another copy of it in my local record shop after I first posted.
Thanks again for your help and interest.
