You've hit the nail on the head Amadeus. The one thing that All Things Must Pass missed was George Martin producing. Harrison came to understand ths as he re-released it un-spectorised. Saying that I do love Let It Down. The acoustic demo is just as good in its own way though. Clearly Spector had more control over Harrison than he did Lennon. It's a shame Spector didn't have enough control over Harrison to convince him not to release sides 5 and 6.

I`m not into "What If" debates . But I have a cutting from a Britsh Music mag from early 79 ish if I remember and as for the Mag I think I was buying Sounds at the time . It says . Reports last week that he is planning British concerts to tie in with the release of his comeback album next year can only be speculative ... Sorry it`s not all on , I have a small Scanner .

Now, the slap back echo used in "Instant Karma" sounds like Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel" to my ears. John had said that before Elvis, there was nothing.
