It's a pity that what started out five or six years ago as a good idea (and fair play to those who queued up and bought what they wanted 'to keep') has degenerated into a sad, greedy and predictable frenzy on eBay.
If 'Piggies' had been written today, I think eBayers (rather than journalists) would have been its more obvious target.

I've missed this post. I need to get this. Lets get it to no1 people. This is the quintessential version. I really love the album version but this performance is even better with a great drummer and top guitarist in Jimmy McCulloch.

Check out the eBay greed in all its glory while you can.
Specifically, the exceedingly dubious pleasure of owning a picture disc (urgh! it looks awful!) of Bowie's ho-hum 'Drive In Saturday'. All one hundred copies of which are trailed with the obligatory, and thoroughly incorrect, description, 'rare'!
That said, I wouldn't mind the Record Store 'Bowie '65' EP, though the mere fact that so many of the sellers have omitted to mention its track-listing confirms just how much about music all this activity is.....I think I'll pass, and continue to listen to the tracks on CD, for nothing.

I'm always amazed how people find out about these things early and push and shove. lol The same way with that Dylan CD that was signed, there was a line about a mile long and only one available at each store. lol I don't stand in line for anything, even if it was to shake Sir Paul's hand. I guess I don't believe in that camping out over nite for tickets or anything else really crap. I just look at those people and shake my head.

Time to shake your head then Rocky Back in the Day I have camped out all night for The Who and Status Quo tickets Wings tickets I was in the que about 6.30am . I was at the back . Got both nights though . Well back in the day, late '60's and 70's, I didn't have to buy tickets. They were given to me by the record company salesman that came into the dist. I was working for then. So I never had to camp out. lol As for records, I love them!! I have about a thousand or so albums, most I didn't have to buy either, they are promos given again to me by the record company salesman. Ever see the Who 'Tommy' box set with 4 singles? Someone told me that's worth a ton of money. I don't think I've ever sold a record I have! I think when they closed all the old record stores and vinyl was replaced by CD's and then buying songs and records online really killed it for me. All the fun was gone. For me collecting 78's are where's it's at now. When I find an old 78 at a flea market (boot sale to you) it's pure joy! Finding a Chuck Berry, Little Richard or Fats Domino record on a 78 is...well like finding the Holy Grail to me. And a true Holy Grail would be a Robert Johnson 78rpm!!
