Logging into v5
If this is your first time logging in you will be guided through an account upgrade process to create a global account. The upgrade process should be very simple -- and will allow you to login with your email address and password in the future. This way, in v5, you can access every single ProBoards forum using a single set of login information (email address and password).
Please ensure that you are using a valid email account! If you use an email account that is no longer activated, or that you no longer have access to, you may not be able to recover your password if necessary. This also makes confirming ownership of your account difficult or even impossible.

First Time Logging In (Upgrading your account to a ProBoards v5 Global Account):
1. Go to your forum address. (Example:
2. Click 'login' in the upper right corner of the forum.
3. You will now be on the Login page.
4. Enter your Username and Password.
5. You will now be on the Link page. Here you can change the email associated with your ProBoards account by clicking the Change Email button and typing in your desired email address. If you do not wish to do so, and are sure that your email account is valid and activated, enter your forum password in the Verify Password box.
6. You will now be on the Upgrade page.
7. Your Username and Account Email are filled out for you. You are then asked to Create New Password and Verify Password. You can either create a new password, or use the password that you used to login to your old account. Then enter your birthday as you would like it to appear on your new global account, and press Upgrade Account.
8. Your account has now been upgraded!
(9.) If you changed your email address in step 4, you will now be on the Activate page. An activation email has already been sent, go to your email account and copy/paste the Activation Key sent to you into the Activation Key box. Then click Activate.
From Then On:
1. Go to your forum.
2. Click 'login' in the upper right corner of the forum.
3. You will now be on the Login page.
4. Enter your Username and Password.
5. If you have only one linked forum account you will be back at the forum, logged in. Otherwise you will select which account you want and you will be logged in as the one you choose.
I received an Error! What do I do?
Either contact the Admin of your forum or post on the Support Board here. Please let us know what step gave you an error, and what the error dialog said.
The Sign In page said 'No account with this username was found'!
Please ensure that you are logging in with your Username and not your Display Name.
The Sign In page said 'We're sorry. The password you entered is not correct. Please try again.'
Click the 'Forgot your password?' link underneath the Password box. An email will be sent to you with a link to a page where you can change your password.
