Just because of the connection to Crowded House, another band and brothers relate to this thread.
Tim and Neil Finn, solo and with Split Endz

Split Endz - now there's a name for the past! I bought "I Got You" when it was released!

The most beatlesque songs by Crowded House:
Pinneaple Head Not the girl You think you are and In My command.
If you love the beatles you should enjoy their Recurring Dream album

The most beatlesque songs by Crowded House: Pinneaple Head Not the girl You think you are and In My command. If you love the beatles you should enjoy their Recurring Dream album They are very influenced by The Beatles. Not The Girl You Think You Are is so McCartney it's untrue. This is probably my favourite Crowded House song. My other favourite is Chocolate Cake but how come it's not on their best of album? I have always wondered that. I went to see them live a few years ago but wasn't expecting much live, thinking of them as purely a studio band and really good songwriters. I was so wrong about them live and have seen them 3 times live to date.

Thanks for the suggestions, I was only really familiar with Woodface, so great to hear these To me Not The Girl You Think You Are sounds like Elliott Smith singing a John Lennon song - absolute quality tune though - I've played it 4 times in a row now!

"Not the Girl You Think You Are" is a 1996 song by rock group Crowded House. It was the third and final single released from the group's greatest hits compilation Recurring Dream. According to the songwriter Neil Finn, the song was written as both his homage to The Beatles and his attempt at writing a song like them
