Hi Everyone I have attended Beatles week 5 times in all. I think the years were 96,99,00,02,05. This year I am returning with my Mam , we are arriving on the Saturday 2pm and leaving on the Tuesday 4pm. (the last time I went on Friday but was burnt out by Monday infact spend most of the day in bed nursing the accumulation of 3 hangovers LOL - so am getting too old for it me thinks!) The problem is that we have no accomodation. I am tempted to get the silver package from carvern city tours, but at almost 400 euros each, this is very expensive in my book, during these recessionary times! Plus I don't want to be loaded with ALL of these tickets for the Beatle week shows and have to feel obliged to go to them. I would rather pick and choose , so we could go to the carvern club or somewhere else if we decided to instead. Any ideas from anyone on this? I have looked at B&Bs but the problem is that they seem to be all more than a mile away from the adelphi, which experience tells me isnt ideal, esp when leaving the adelphi at all hours. It would be nice to get somewhere walkable. For the previous 5 times I stayed in the Catederal park student self service accomodation which was fine for me and cheap. However with my mam this time she wants something more comfortable and convenient. Please help ! Any ideas or solutions would be so much appreciated thanks in advance We are going regardless cause flights are already booked If need be I will get the silver package if there is no other option.

Hi Trev - try the Lord Nelson Hotel it's about 15 minute walk from the Cavern (5-10 minutes from the Adelphi) - it's really cheap and the rooms cannot be faulted!

Hi Trev. The Liner hotel might be a good bet if you are going with your Mum. It's right next to the Lord Nelson.

Thanks Folks, I have booked the Lord Nelson. Another question though = Is it essential to buy tickets for the concerts in advance or is it possible to pay at the door on the night Will just save me getting tickets and then possibly not using some of them...

Great stuff! I'd have a good read through the brochure (available on the Cavern City Tours website). We don't always go to the shows, so you could buy mine from me a bit cheaper if you like Drop me a PM if you're interested
