Hi People, I wondered if anyone has any idea about this record I have.
The front of the sleeve says
GRADUATE OTHER HITS STEREO
1969 HEY! JADE
THE BEATLES'
And on the label of the actual record, it is titled
THE BEATLES HND THE GRADUATE HITS
It's Chinese (I think) there is a lot of asian writing on the front and tracks on the sleeve are listed as this
A
1. HEY JUDE (THE BEATLES)
2. OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA
3. YELLOW SUBMARINE NOW
4. REVOLUTION
5. YOU'VE MADE ME VERY HAPPY (BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS)
7.
B
1. THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE (THE GRADUATE)
2. THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE
3. SCARBOROUGH FAIR/CANTICLE (SIMON & GARFUNKLE)
4. SCARBOROUGH FAIR/CANTICLE (RAY CONNIFF)
5. DIZZY (TOMMY ROE)
6. DIZZY (THE VENTURES)
7. MRS ROBINSON
thats exactly as it is printed on the front of the thick paper/very thin cardboard sleeve which is covered in loose plastic.
It has the logo "first record", I guess thats who issued it.
On the back are the words to all the songs, with typing errors in the lyrics and a little bit crooked typeset in parts.
On the actual record, at the bit where all the tracks finish and the needle runs along the grooves to meet the label, there is asian characters and a lot of numbers.
I've had this for about 30 years, my father once owned a junk shop and I found it in a box of lp's there. I've never played it but it looks to be in reasonable condition. I'm in Australia. I would like to know if anyone thinks this is something collectable, or just another piece of knock off rubbish... I can take photos of it if anyone is interested in seeing them.
