Great topic. I was seriously thinking of starting the same thing except, include ALL your gear. Come on. Show us your gear. You know you want to. Here's my 1983 JV'57. Just a gorgeous sounding guitar. ROCKY will verify that if he stumbles onto this thread. There's a whole website/forum dedicated to the '82-'84 JVs. I'll get photos of more of my stuff after I move (dammit) I was looking at some of those 50th anniversary models in '04 but the finances were imposing themselves on to my lifestyle. I was looking at an orange one, I can't remember the pickguard but I was also looking at a black one with the gold anodized pickguard and maple neck anniversary model. That was nice. I wish I had got a 25th anniversary in '79.

That Orange is taller than me! Here's my current amps. An Ibanez I picked up in '83. 30W solid state. 4 or 5 year old Epiphone. 5W but as loud as the Ibanez I used to have a 60W VOX valvetronix. It was new then and I sold it because the model initially had some problems with solder joints breaking in the digital pre-amp. But it was a nice sounding and looking amp.

Great looking JV! Amadeus show the boys & girls the pickguard up close! I have some neat guitars, but Yoko won't let me post any of them. (I figure I'll blame her cause she gets blamed for everything else.) If you want to see them go over to Strat-Talk they're in my photo album over there under Wayne D. I have a replica Lennon Sonic Blue strat and I just got a First Issue '57 RI small logo JV not too many of them around!

Hey kiddies, here's my pick guard up close. I got bored with the plain white and I haven't relic'd the guitar very much through various kinds of abuse, so I pasted the London underground map on it. People say I'm the zaniest kid on the block!

If I'm busking in the tube with my battery operated VOX, I'll never be lost.

It looks like you have all the stuff in "The Beatles Gear". Some of those Ricks would look good on my wall!

Well maybe the ones in the first couple of pics are, but the rest were taken at the John Lennon Museum in Tokyo. The gentleman that owns Pittsburgh Guitars (you can visit their website) has a nice selection of Beatle guitars and even Sir Paul bought a guitar off of him when he came to town!

Wozza, are they really all your guitars now? the guitars in that link, Yep. Plus I have a few others not in that shot. A 1964 L/H Hofner Bass, A 1966 Epiphone Casino and one of those limited edition Hofner Club 40's. I also have a mid 60's Ludwig drum kit that's pretty much identical to one of Ringo's sets.

You are right, there are some other pics on my photo bucket account from the John Lennon museum taken on my iPhone when no one was looking.

Here's a couple more: 1976 Univox Ripper. Kind of a cult item now. There's some battle scars as well from the violent '80s with irate drummers throwing sticks at me and me doing Townshend stunts with it. 1985 Contemporary Stratocaster. Difficult to find in their original state these days. This guitar was made in Japan for the American market while the Fender USA plant was shut down for the year after the employees bought out CBS.

Nobody else? OK. 1954 Guild Hollowbody electric. The first year they manufactured electric guitars. It also plays like a dream. It's actually belongs to a friend of mine. But he has no appreciation for stuff like that so I took custody of it. I rescued it from him and shined it up, scraped the glue off the bridge, set it up and started playing it myself. He "borrowed" it back for a while but I went to his house one week later and some strings were broken, the leftovers were 'dead', it was all grimy, the bridge slid out of place an inch or two...I think I better take custody of it again.
