Has anyone heard anything about when the next albums in the remaster series are going to be released.
Presumably nothing too imminent as he won't have it clashing with "Kisses" but maybe towards the back end of the year in time for Christmas?
I'm assuming that Ram will be next, but I think that is just an assumption at this stage...

Sounds good but I'm really looking forward to the Rockshow DVD release next year and really hope it's on Blu Ray.
Have you seen another Rockumentary called McCartney from the early 80's? I remember having it on the same VHS tape as Rockshow years and years ago.

I used to be a completist collector until this round of McCartney remasters priced me right out of it! All I've ordered is the mono vinyl version of Ram.

The Paul McCartney Archive Collection is a fantastic occurrence from my perspective. Paul has always been my favourite Beatle, and really knows how to catch my mood as a listener, through his sheer variety of styles. I also love how he can play so many instruments, produce, and experiment before our ears.
So by the time these remasters were announced, I had become an accomplished Beatles listener. It was perfect timing to see a reissue of a member's work. Not because I had grown bored of The Beatles (I haven't), but because to me, not ever hearing these albums or songs before, it feels like The Beatles have just broken up, and I am hearing Paul's work as if it was 1970...
It sounds incredibly fresh to me, and I am totally fascinated by the concept of hearing what The Beatles do immediately after the break up. The songs are like small extensions of the whole band, whilst the style of The Beatles is still very ingrained in the creativity of each member.
Ram sounds unbelievable, what a great record. Paul must have felt under some pressure commercially to get this one right, and he did.
As for McCartney, I got a sense of what the anticipation must have been like back when it really was first released, with a genuine wait before I could purchase it (remastered, obviously)! It didn't disappoint either, I think it's amazing; I love the home demo sound, no frills, just killer killer songs and instrumentals. Unlike his attempt with The Beatles, he really did 'Get Back'. And it has, in my humble opinion, the most beautiful album cover ever.

I used to be a completist collector until this round of McCartney remasters priced me right out of it! All I've ordered is the mono vinyl version of Ram. In a tremendous fit of hypocrisy, I've recently shelled out for the Ram deluxe box set - it was going very cheap on www.PopMarket.com (well worth a look BTW) for about £43 - but it was only for one day!! It came down a few weeks ago and I must say it is an absolutely incredible package - the best box set in my collection! So I'm sold, and being the collector that I am, I'll now have to track the rest of them down!! ... and McCartney arrived today!!! I not II :-P And this WOA set looks brilliant but at £84 on Amazon I think I'll wait! EDIT: just checked and the VERY deluxe RAM is still available for £43.99 plus free postage here: www.popmarket.com/paul-mccartney-ram-deluxe-edition/details/27997649
