I do like Ty's footware in the first picture. Who's the girl? That's not Vicki.

Apparently holiday makers could get up and sing with the band.

Pothos those first two pictures were they taken at Butlins in '62? Cause Ty has his strat that he got in Oct.1960,in Hamburg. Not yet sanded down to pale blue. I don't think they played Butlins in '61. These also may be the last photos with Ringo with the band.

They are rare. Could be from the summer that he left the band.

It is not Butlins 62 as Lou Walters was with the Seniors then. They played Butlins in 61 and as he has the strat it must be that year.

You're right Ant, I somehow skipped over it when I first looked at their '61 schedule. They played Butlins Pwllheli Wales the summer of '61 in the Rock 'n Calypso ballroom. I owe you a pint, mate.

In just over half and hour it will be the 7th of January and on that date in 1938 Alan Earnest Caldwell was born. He became better know as Rory Storm. So happy 80th Birthday Rory.

I held back as I wanted Pothos to be the one to post the first greeting. After all, she has made this thread what it is ... AMAZING ..

Thank you for the compliment OSR but it was people asking questions and posting pics that helped make this thread. Also the site owners for letting me get on with it.
I am still searching the outer reaches trying to find anything new to post so we can keep celebrating the whole scene that changed the world.
Happy Birthday Rory.

Is it true that Michael McCartney has the same birthday as Rory.

Elvis' birthday is today! And yes Mike McCartney (McGear) was born Jan. 7, 1944.
And do you know who that was with Ringo in the bunk bed photo?
