Rockin' Horse was fronted by Billy Kinsley, ex Merseybeat and the late, great, underrated Jimmy Campbell, ex-Kirkby. A one album band, Yes It Is, but containing much Beatle-esque material, here's the most strikingingly Lennon sounding song I've come across. Kinsley I believe is on lead vocals. This one's from Campbell's solo 1970 effort Half Baked album, the piano reminds me of The Lemon Pipers Green Tambourine. Check out also, The Kirkby's It's A Crime which sounds like a hybrid of The Stones and The Fabs! When the Kirkby's were The Panthers, they supported The Beatles at a gig in '62.

Thanks for sharing these!!
Yep, very Lennon-esque vocals on Yes It Is (also the title of a Beatle song too of course).
Totally agree about the Green Tambourine piano!

Hahaha, that Kirkby's track is awesome. The Stones backing John & Paul with Jimmy Page doing the guitar solo...
