Girl's School is one of the great underrated rockers from Paul & his band Wings that's almost forgotten over 30 years later. I'll never understand why it didn't become a hit in the U. S. since it's in the same leagues as Hi Hi Hi & Junior's Farm. Macca should play GS live on his next tour because it's such a rarity & he's got some attitude in his vocals.

Over here in the UK it was very much overshadowed by Mull Of Kintyre, but if memory serves, it was actually released as a double A-side. He actually doesn't play either song live, does he?

It was definitely on the flipside of "Mull" but I think it was a b-side and not a double-A. I have the 45 here somewhere, I could have a look and verify. It's a great track, no doubt about it. It featured on more than one cassette compilation I made back in the days of taping 45's. Edit: maybe it was a double-A after all. I don't see any indicator on either side of the 45 of an "A" or a "B" side...

I think it was a double A-side, but here in North America it was "Girl's School" that got what little airplay either side had. I heard it on the radio once or twice around the same time as "With a Little Luck." That one got a lot of airplay. I lean more toward "Cafe On The Left Bank" myself.

London Town is one of my favourite Macca albums - arguably his best till a long while after! Although I know we have a few fans of Back To The Egg here!!

I bought a Russian pressing of the "Wings at the Speed of Sound" CD that came with a DVD of "Rockshow". But the album has two bonus tracks, "Mull of Kintyre" and "Girl's School". I like "Girl's School" quite a bit. As I recall, here in the U.S. "Girl's School" was the A-side but in the rest of the world it was the B-side. Too bad it wasn't a bigger hit. It's a snappy little rocker.

Personally I never really cared about the a- or b-side!
