Hi all -
Can anyone give a step by step on how to store Youtube postings? There are some cool ones that I would hate to lose if the site went down.
Thanks!

^That works. Problem is that you will have to convert your saved file into mpeg or avi to watch it properly. But there's several fine and free programs that can do that.

I use Firefox 3 and an addon called Downloadhelper 3.2, to upload video, another addon is Firefox Universal Uploader (fireuploader) 0.3.5
Once on my computer I usually re-encode them to .avi (xvid) using Aplus Video Converter 8.79. It will do wmv and many other formats as well and let you customize the size and audio settings. I have an Oppo DVD home player which upconverts and I can add a ton of Youtube stuff to a disc and play it back on television.
Hope this is what you meant and helps.

DVDVideoSoft YouTube ripper. Free and easy to use. Also, there's YouTube to MP3 Downloader, by the same people. Very handy.
