Here's a trivia for you, who was the original lead singer that Jmmy Page wanted to join LED ZEPPELIN in late 1968? Take care amadeus.

I actually have to admit ignorance about Terry Reid. I only know about him because I read stuff but I don't know who he is. (I think). I just know (I think) that he was about to hit the road with Cream and suggested Robert Plant instead (who then suggested his old drummer buddy Bonzo). Does anybody have any idea why Led Zep's musical genius's J.P. and J.P.J.'s output after Zep was negligible and R.P.'s output was fairly prolific by comparison? That's not a quiz, that's just seeking opinions. Here's an unrelated picture of Pink Floyd and Zappa on stage in Belgium '69:

I saw them twice, one, at the Forum in Los Angeles, California on 23 June 1977 and one month later at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California on 23 July 1977. The Forum show was GREAT, the Oakland show wasn't that great seeing that the band's performance was poor. Take care.

I will never know either, in my opinion, when John Bonham died on that fateful day of 25 September 1980, the other three would never be the same again. In my opinion, it is not fair in comparing the three surviving member's work after LED ZEPPELIN died. None of the three have managed to create any of the ZEPPELIN magic individually, however, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, together, have managed to create some of the ZEPPELIN magic. When LED ZEPPELIN reunited for one last time with Jason Bonham at the 02 Arena in London on 10 December 2007, they were LED ZEPPELIN one more time for one last time. As of now, Robert Plant is going back to his musical roots by singing Rockibilly and/or Bluegrass music, I personally like it but I know many ZEPPELIN fans that don't like it. I thought that Jimmy Page did a great job with JIMMY PAGE & THE BLACK CROWES, what do you think amadeus? Take care

It's the roots of Led Zep! I like that kind of music anyway. I like the album he did with Allison Krause. The Jimmy Page/Black Crowes. was good but I admit that I'm not really a Black Crowes fan. And mrkite from Devon: My knowledge of Hillage is scant. I have the Simple Minds album he produced, I have Motivational Radio, and I have Flying Teapot. Therefore I do NOT want to have his children like you do. However, if his clothes needed some stitching.... Oh yeah, he did also produced Canada's own Nash The Slash's Children of the Night. Which includes this song:

You have Motivation Radio Amainpressed Searching For The Spark was my Ringtone for ages until I got X Files theme . Just thought I will back date stuff on here I`ve missed . Phil Collins ? I really hate that tank top , not even on the same planet as Peter "God" Gabriel . But thats just me . As for Gabriel being God like , I have a few Gods just like greek people . Brillaint pic of Floyd and Zappa ! Never seen that before !!! Mr Page and Jones ? Planty was always going to be succsessful after Zep The voice of Zepp . Best Rock Band . .. Ever . Enough said I think Bonzo effected Page so much that he couldn`t ever imagine play infront of another drummer . Take Live Aid . Phill Tank Top , Cringe worthy videos Collins sorted the Zepp reunion not happening for another 20 odd years . Went to see Page with that very "80s" band Firm Now.. I bought the album and it was average As for the gig . Well ... I am going to be honest here . We set off from . **up north** ( Al !) And me and my friends had a fair few herbal ciggerattes and by the time I got there ... I was high as a Kite . Do you think we need a Rock thread as we can just do Prog on here and Rock on another ? Another Prog fav of mine . Hawkwind . Assault And Battery.

WOW! It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen and I'll never forget it. Take care.

I would say that your secret is definitely out, right on! Like yourself, I have seen Jimmy live with THE FIRM as well as the OUTRIDER tour and JIMMY PAGE & THE BLACK CROWES. I've seen Robert live quite a few times, the last two times were at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, Texas on 26 July 2010 (I was right in front of the stage) and the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 11 April 2011. I saw Page/Plant live 3 times, the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California on 2 October 1995, the Cal Expo Amphitheatre in Sacramento, California on 6 October 1995 and the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California on 11 September 1998. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of concerts through the years, I have the ticket stubs in three shoe boxes to prove it. Take care.

Howdy. Regarding Zappa and Pink Floyd at Belgium in '69, see here: www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=ACE342§ion=24Regarding Hawkwind, it's too bad the second half (The Golden Void) wasn't included in the link you (kite) provided. I have that record and Doremi Faso....and Space Ritual. BeatlesForever. For some reason, when the Black Crowes first appeared, I thought they looked fabulous but Chris Robinson's voice and the music itself just didn't hit me right. I don't know, I just could never get into them. Here's another interesting fact about myself that may seem almost blasphemous. I don't actually enjoy going to concerts. Whew! I'm so glad I got that off of my chest. Anywho; here's a great unknown Canadian prog/thrash band covering Pink Floyd. Now it's time for beddy-bye. Night night.

Here's Terry from his 1969 album. It's a cover of the classic (and I mean CLASSIC) 'Stay With Me Baby'. Sorry there's no video footage to supplement this version. Please just don't listen to the first 30 seconds or so before dismissing it. I would urge you to stay with it until the end. This is Terry (Superlungs) Reid - 'Stay With Me Baby'

Well, now I know. Quite strong actually.
I wonder if the chemistry in the band would've been as creative as it was with the final 4? Of course if Reid joined, was there a drummer on deck for them? Because obviously Bonzo would not have been found....Who can say what might have happened?
What if Page and Jones had formed a group with (was it) Daltry and Moon? It makes my head hurt to imagine. What if Decca had signed The Beatles and Pete Best was never fired. And like the Stones, they were able to record in America later on, and....? What if Hendrix had lived and Zappa had died (pushed off the stage in '71)?
Terry Reid is quite good actually, isn't he.
