Hey guys,
Wanted to tell you about this incredible Beatles cover band called THE FAB FAUX. They are the closest Beatles sounding band I've ever come across; it's almost like a trip back to the 60's. They are gonna be playing in Washington D.C. on 5/22/2010 at Lisner Auditorium. Do check them out and support the music.
Also do check this video out -
Peace & Love

Hi there Beatleslove and welcome to the forum! Fab Faux are my favourite Beatles band as well. I have seen them quite a few times in Liverpool and they have never failed to blow me away. The only problem is they haven't played here in Liverpool for a few years now. Playing the White Album in it's entirety is a show that always sticks in my mind. Unfortunately we are in a minority around here as other forum members are not that keen on them. Other forum members like Beatles bands doing Kinks and Who numbers! Not mentioning any names..............Al. Oh no how did that slip out!!!!

Without doubt the best. I suspect there are financial reasons for not having them on i.e. CCT won't pay them enough to make it worth their while.

i've also heard there's issues with regard to how much in advance they can book time off from their day jobs to be able to make the festival.

I thought none of them had day jobs (so to speak). I thought they where all either session musicians, one owns a studio and one is a writer who did stage shows.

Jimmy is in the band for Conan O'Brian's show & Will the one on Letterman, in addition to all the session work they do - they're busy boys.
although the holiday leave thing may have been a rumour being put round to take the attention away from the money thing

The thing is they where busy boys in the years they played Beatleweek. I don't think things have changed that much for them since. I would suggest that you are correct in thinking that the time off excuse is a rumour to pacify people. Whatever the excuse it's a real shame they have not been on for a while.
