couldnt see a thread for it, so my sincere apologies to Admin if there is already one.
so what is our favourite non-Beatles album? i include solo albums by the Fab Four as well in this.

Great list Beatlesforever! Some inspired choices there. I am just disappointed there is no King Crimson! Forgive me mrmustard, I had every intention of adding KING CRIMSON to my list. There are other artists that I left out as well such as JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, MOBY GRAPE, QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE, THE STEVE MILLER BAND, PAT TRAVERS, GERRY & THE PACEMAKERS, THE POLICE, CCR, BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS, THE YARDBIRDS, THE JEFF BECK GROUP, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, ELVIS PRESLEY, BUDDY HOLLY, CAROLE KING, HEART, THE RUNAWAYS, MOLLY HATCHET, THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND, DAVID BOWIE, KISS and ZZ TOP just to name a few. I still left out the Blues greats, Country Greats and many more. Take care.

Yes too but may be not Tales. This place is getting over-run with prog fans! .

......and:
Rolling Stones - Between The Buttons (UK) Holst - The Planets (Sir Malcolm Sargent) Janacek - The Makropoulis Case Wagner - The Ring Cycle (The whole bloody 15 hours) Johnny Cash - Live At Folsom Prison
So...That's 25 selected albums out of my top ten list!
My math is different than yours.
And prog can be blamed on the Beatles. Most bands take a nice 3 minute multi-part song like Happiness..... and stretch it into a double album extravaganza. About shastric scriptures.
..and The Hobbit
