Hi,
we are 4 spanish people and we´d like to go this year again to Beatle Week. Last year we stayed in Nightingale Lodge but it´s a little far to the Cavern. Do you know if we can get something better (and not very expensive) closer? Could we rent a apartament for 4 nights?
Thank you in advance

Welcome to the Beatle Forum! There is student accommodation very near the Adelphi hotel and just 10 minutes from the Cavern - I can get you details if you like AL

The good thing is, you don't have to be a student to stay there - very nice rooms too!

You don't need to be a student to stay there, Beatle fans take over the student halls out of term-time for one week every year during International Beatle Week.
Budget / student type self catering accomodation for IBW is as follows:
• Grand Central Unite (behind The Adelphi Hotel at the heart of everything) I recomend here I stayed here last year, apartments feature 3, 4 or 5 separate bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. Package may offer something like 3 nights as standard and you can add nights for around £30 per person, per night.
• Cambridge Court (10 mins from The Adelphi)
• Apollo Court
Other accomodation is available including The Hard Days Night Hotel (bit expensive!) so look into the above.
2010 booking forms will be out soon
You say you stayed at The Nightingale Lodge last year? Did you meet an Queen-mad American lady called Gracie?

Sorry, we don´t met her, we just went to the Lodge to sleep a little and take showers... We didn´t expect that amazing fiesta and if you went to the hotel it took too much time...

Grand Cental Unite is the one you want. A lot of the bands stay there also. I'm glad you were impressed by IBW, it really is "Guaranteed to blow your mind" ... oh sorry, quoting from my other fave band there!

You would probably have to book it through Cavern City Tours as part of a package. I don't think the package prices have been announced yet though.

I don't think the package prices have been announced yet though. I think that is correct. I'm in town tomorrow - I'll call into the CCT office to see if booking forms have been printed yet they are late this year - do regular goers get them in the post via a mailing list or something? CCT get a special 'out of term time' deal at the student halls - and yes, you would have to book through them. Look at a basic package (say 3 nights) this will also get you into various ticketed events (ie at Cavern / Adelphi) then, if you want to stay longer, you can add nights at around £35 per person per night. You can't really do anything until somebody obtains a booking form, keep watching this forum for more information.

We stayed in Grand Central Unite last year, and it was perfect. Just across the road from Adelphi, and a 5-10min walk from the Cavern. Loads of the bands were there too, our area had us, Nube 9, Ringer and a couple of other bands. PARTY!!!!

They are VERY late this year! I've usually received mine in the post by now! Last year, they sent the forms out even earlier via email.

They are VERY late this year! They certainy are, I've no idea why the delay. I called into the Cavern Pub today and they told me that IBW 2010 booking forms should be available in the next two weeks.

Unite is the best place to stay over BW - i wouldn't stay anywhere else. Not even with the tempting combination of time travel and the North Western? But. Yes, seriously. UNITE is an awesome place to stay during Beatle Week. Even if my plan for kitchen window theatre never came to fruition. Rhian

North Western time travel option would be best - as long as we can also upgrade the sofa residents as we travel.
and as for the kitchen window masterpiece theatre... if we told you Al we'd have to kill you..... But rhi don't rule it out, it may still happen. Look at the power you had over that guy walking past two floors down.
