The Wild Geese is a Great movie.great screenplay, a stellar ensemble cast. I fear it might be a bit dated in certain areas.is it available on bluray.I need to watch again to give a more up to date appraisal Mr Mustard

I've bought it already! I agree, in some respects it may be dated. Moore's scenes (apart from the scenes where he kills the drug dealers) are particularly lame. However the scenes between Burton and Harris are pure magic.

Oh yes ,it's know secret. Big Woody Allen myself, early stuff mainly. Take the money & run,Play it again Sam and Bananas to name but a few. Need to check out Equilibrium out sounds great. Contact is a highly enjoyable movie I must admit. The Fifth Elementi is cool too, especially the art direction & production design. Gary Oldmans over the top performance spoils it for me though. Have you watched Games of Thrones sounds right up your street Mr Kite

Haven't you borrowed this off your mate yet Mr Kite? Burton's scenes with Stewart Granger (Matherson) are also pretty special too, as they explore the relationship between the mercenary and his employer.

Thanks for that heads up The Sun King. Its actually already on Amazon as a blu ray and I was on the verge of buying it but then noticed in the production notes it was a German release. Not sure if there would be an English option on it but thought I best wait.
