I think most Beatle fans (like me) are predisposed to tell ourselves we like something because it's got the Beatles involved. The movie was good eye candy but objectively it was probably pretty thin on the substance meter.
I can say that I wasn't fussy on the "I Want To Hold Your Hand" cover. And "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" just wasn't vicious enough.

My son just fell in love with the movie and has watched it probably 50 times (its on the DVR). I liked it a lot too. I especially enjoyed the 'Hold Me Tight' segment and it provided me with a glance of what the song could and should be. I might have worded the incorrectly. I should have said, its how I perceive the song. Its a rauncher that makes me want to move, and I dont even think its a great tune. Lol.

After having the DVD on loan from a friend for almost a year, I finally got around to watching the 2007 'motion picture' Across The Universe Verdict? Is he still your friend? Ha-ha
