I got it, thanks for the help, The End...I really appreciate it.
ok....here ya go...I'm listening to an obscure 60's tune, called ''Brainwashed'' by The Shays...
[music]http://h1.ripway.com/HotRockinjohnny/The Shays - Brainwashed.mp3[/music]
pretty cool song and lyrics, huh?
Edit: I noticed mine and authurlee's song play at the same time - I'm guessing it's not supposed to do that?

Hmmm, no tracks should actually play unless you press the "play" button - as is the case on the browsers I use (Safari and Firefox). I'll check this end to see if the coding is OK.
Great track by the way - what words are bleeped out though?

Great track by the way - what words are bleeped out though? Hi Al - How ya doin' mate? You're right, this is a great track brought to the Forum by HotRockinJohnny (welcome by the way HRJ) and having listened to it, it sounds like the word 'damn' has been 'electronically erased'. Back in the sixties, mild expletives such as 'damn' (remember Joe South's 'Games People Play' although the word wasn't bleeped out, the lyrics went " . . . . and you don't give a da da da da da da . . . .") and hell were frowned upon. Goodness knows what word was bleeped out on 'A Boy Named Sue' by Johnny Cash though! It's a far cry from today's 'anything goes' attitude but bleeping out words back then had a naivety that was kinda exciting and fun. By the way, I think HRJ hit the play button on my track and without hitting the stop button on mine, hit the play button on his own track. That way, he would hear the two tracks playing simultaneously.

Thanks for the welcome, authurlee...
I'm not sure if that 'bleep' was intentional or not?
But, I agree with authurlee - the word was most likely 'damn'
Also, I remember when Jim Croce released the song '' Bad, Bad Leroy Brown'' in the 70's, it was kind of a big deal that he sung that Leroy Brown was ''the baddest man in the whole damn town''. Nowadays, it's no big deal at all.

Hi Arthurlee - I'm good mate, you? Interesting comments about censorship guys Remember the word "Christ" was also bleeped in The Ballad of John & Yoko when it was aired in America! I think the bleeped words in A Boy Named Sue are "son of a bitch" - how shocking!!

Your Mind And Me Belong Together is a stunning track, and a fine choice!
You should check out a band called Kill It Kid. Rocked up folk blues- its incredible.

I'm listening to two things. Over and over. Again and again.
1) Venus - Shocking Blue. 2) Reflections - Marmalade.
And again. Lather, rinse, repeat!
Help!

She Loves You - The Beatles (on a really crummy old tape that's six years older than I am!) except now it's moved on to I Want To Hold Your Hand.
