Indie used to mean the artist was on an independant label - now it's a genre of course - personally I would class Oasis and Blur as 'indie' or Brit-pop. All these pidgeon holes are very annoying though!
Don't get your hopes up about those Seven Ages Of Rock documentaries - I recorded all of them and although I have only watched 5 so far, I have found them to be a bit of a disappointment. I think it's the only time I've actually been bored watching a programme about rock/pop music!

So how would you describe indie then? I think of it as more obscure stuff.

I personally can't stand Blur. Hated them. Didn't see anything in them that I liked that made me think of the 60's at all.
And personally cannot stand Albarn. He is a pompus, jumped up, little....well you get where I am going with that! But still, each to their own.
