Maybe the 'Ask The Experts' Forum should be made available (for topic replies) to all members of the forum? It may well be that someone somewhere knows the answer to a particular question when one of the 'experts' doesn't. Just a thought.
Anyway, Clarebella asks about two track recording when more tracks were available. I'm not sure, without song examples, what you're getting at Clarebella. In the early sixties, many studios used two-track recorders. The first four Beatles singles and first two Beatles albums were recorded on a two-track recorder at EMI's Abbey Road studio. By late 1963, the Beatles began recording on a four-track recorder. During The White Album sessions in 1968, the Beatles began using eight-track recorders for the first time.
I hope I haven't trod on any of the experts toes here but the above is all I could come up with.

Answered in her post next to it... I do know the subject well - the moderator just made me "an expert" in time! I guess he wants "experts" so there is not so much guessing and speculation.

I guess he wants "experts" so there is not so much guessing and speculation. Hi guys! In response to Arthur's point, you are right Brian. I also felt that by doing it this way it would keep responses on topic. If anyone would like to be considered as an expert, please send me a PM to let me know what "field" your expertise lies. AL

I think Arthur's post also points out WHY this is good - he was not sure (having not read the book, ha!) what she meant - and speculated. This confuses the issue. Sometimes, a LITTLE knowledge is more dangerous than none. So I like the idea of "approved experts" - but we must be careful "an expert" does not post in another category where she/he has less knowledge, maybe?

We'll soon have as many experts as active members! Paul (Expert). I bet MOST people here ARE experts in something Beatle-ey. They spend untold days of their lives with the subject!
