I think the title track is far from being the best track on TMWSTW. The Width of a Circle is so epic! Especially this version:

I wonder if anyone here knows the original version of Criminal World? David covered it on Let's Dance in 1983, but Metro originally released it in 1977. The band seems to be completely unknown, they don't even have a Wikipedia page, which is a pity, because their whole album is fantastic.

I am familiar with both versions. I have heard of METRO, however, I haven't heard the METRO version in years! Everyone is so used to listening to the BOWIE version that the original METRO version just faded away. Take care.

I love it and seems to pull in jazz electro and torch song influences. A real return to form.

I didn’t see an option for his Greatest Hits LP.
That’s the only Bowie LP I ever bought and it’s thanks to Columbia records club, otherwise I wouldn’t have ever bought it.

That`s a shame Bongo You should check out Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory , two brilliant albums Hunky Dory is one of my all time favorites , simplistic but just genius .

Still so utterly sad. Lazarus has so much extra meaning now and Blackstar is utterly majestic. Only weeks ago I tiuned in to 6 music to especially hear the premier of the track at 9.20pm (remember the days when stations told you they had premiers at a certain time) I am also so sick of Cancer. Taken so many including members of my family. Did you hear Rough Trade records shops are giving all the cash they will make from Bowie records in January to cancer research.
Bowie's Fame with John Lennon is such a great statement for the two of them. Also the Nirvana version of The Man Who Sold the World is wonderful.
